I took a practice ASVAB online in the AR+MK+EI+GS categories. I made a 84.4%
To qualify for a certain field I need a total score of 222. Evidently the site had a different scoring method than the military. What would an 84% be equivalent to on the real ASVAB?
Intelligent answers only please.
Thank you.
It would be close to that. I can’t remember exactly. I got full score on my ASVAB with an 81% on the practice.THe real questions are atually much easier, especially if you can test on the computer. Good luck

Your ASVAB score isn’t as important as the combined AFQT. This is the number you need to identify, and its the combined total of:
The AFQT Raw Score is computed with the formula AFQT = 2VE + AR + MK.
Depending upon the MOS you’ll also be assigned an ST (Skilled Technical) or other number. The “average” Army Helo pilot’s ST score is in the low 90s, whereas the “average” SF Weapons Sgt. is in the mid 90s low 100s.
To attain these levels you are looking at an average of 240-260 correct answers, or 80% or higher. In contrast, with 220 correct answers you’re banging out a clip of 60% correct, which sounds like you’re fine.
Either way figure out the verbal expression and math (because its the most important) and the rest is easy. Talk to your recruiter, make sure its what you want to do, the ASVAB should be the least of your worries.

you seem like your pretty smart so what ever you score if it isn’t what you need you can take the test over and over again. If your trying to enlist you can get a waiver. Basicly if you dont qualify for something because of one thing,( like basically anything ex. you smoked pot,you are too old, your colorblind and ect.)you just ask for a waiver they can do it no matter what they say. Good Luck!
