Do you think homosexual teens should be able to bring their same sex dates to prom?

Now that teens are coming out at a faster rate, they are also coming out at a younger age. When I was younger at my highschool if you came out it was like a deathwish. People didn’t start coming out until years later. But it seems like now the younger generations are a little keener on the idea.

If you’re a teen who has homosexual students at your school. Do you think your administration would let everyone bring a date of their choice, regardless of sex?

This is in Russelville, AL:

Why not? Why aren’t schools afraid of discrimination lawsuits?
lol Sukanara I’m not homosexual. And it’s not a lifestyle.

-But it’s okay to force heterosexuality on them?? Right. You’re an idiot.

Yes. I was out at 16. I would have loved to have been able to bring my bf to prom when I was 18.

  8. Allen is really lost

    Absolutely.

If this was a private school, then perhaps I would give it some credence because a private institution has more freedom to select who can participate in what.

In a public school, financed by heterosexual and homosexual tax dollars, this answer is clearly yes. Discriminating based upon choice of a lover’s gender is inherently wrong and anti-American.

Her lesbianism, regardless of whether or not it is a choice or not, does not adversely affect the other students. She worked on the committee and more than deserves to attend the dance with a partner of her choosing.
