If this was a private school, then perhaps I would give it some credence because a private institution has more freedom to select who can participate in what.
In a public school, financed by heterosexual and homosexual tax dollars, this answer is clearly yes. Discriminating based upon choice of a lover’s gender is inherently wrong and anti-American.
Her lesbianism, regardless of whether or not it is a choice or not, does not adversely affect the other students. She worked on the committee and more than deserves to attend the dance with a partner of her choosing.
