We are driving out there with 2 children and we are new to that part of the country. We’re just wondering what time we should be planning to leave and arrive.

Can’t tell you for sure myself, but if you go to Yahoo maps or mapquest.com in the “directions” part, you can enter in both addresses and get an approximate time, plus the added bonus of being able to locate stops along the way.

well i dont know how long your stops are going to be overnight or just to eat and refuel but i can tell you about how to figgure it thak every 50 miles and say that takes about an hour as this will mos likely be your avrage speed you can probably travel faster than this but you are likely to get slowed down some where a long the way try map quest to plan your route and how many miles it will be good luck

Straight drive would be about 20 to 21 hours.
Therefore with stops, it should take you about two to three days.
Figure 10 to 20 minutes for each stop. You should not drive more the 8 hours a day.

i’m not sure exactly. i went to florida a few years ago from fayetteville, ar (which is about 3-4 hrs from LR) and it took us about 2&1/2 days to get to orlando. we spent 2 nights in motels. that was with a stop at a wal-mart somewhere and i believe we stopped at the u.s.s. alabama, but that may have been on the return trip which was a different route and still took about as long. hope this helps a little.
