Is it legal for a 17 y.o. from ID to travel to AR for sex with a 26 y.o.?
A 26 y.o. male in AR is dating a 17 y.o. female in ID. While she is of legal age for sex in her state, she is not of age to have sex with him because of the age gap. Now he wants to bring her to visit him in AR, where sex would be legal between them. Is there an issue because she is travelling to have sex with him and it’s illegal in her home state? Her parents consented to both their trips. I would hate to see a friend in trouble for consensual sex due to some interstate law.

I think the state law applies to the state that you are in not where you are from. They should get married anyway if they want to have sex. At least that way, there would be no question.

Even if that is defined as statutory rape, it is definitely not rape! If it is, we should all do it MLK style and accept the punishment. Fill the prisons with our nonviolence and remove this unjust law! And we get laid!
She’ll never tell.
