It sounds like you want to invest in wireless technology in your home. Wireless will give you the ability to have up to 4 desktop computers and many wireless devices (laptops, PDAs, etc…).
Visit Linksys at http://www.linksys.com for more information on wireless technology, or just go to Best Buy or Circuit City and talk to someone. It will probably cost you around $100 bucks to get up and running.
