May 24, 2010. KATV7 Arkansas. DOCS ON LINK BELOW. After being bounced around in foster care, 5 YO Dale and his siblings ended up in January of 2008 at this Russellville home. Four months later Dale was dead. Richard Young, Dale’s grandfather said, “For him to get hit in the stomach, you know, and cause his intestines to burst in his back from what we’ve been told there’s something wrong dead wrong right there.” The cause of death: internal injuries caused by a severe abdominal blunt force trauma. Bruising left by the modified Heimlich maneuver immediately created suspicion which led to investigations. The Department of Human Services determined that “the injury was not an accident” and that “The foster father physically abused DY on the day in question.” The Arkansas State Police found “physical abuse to Dale Young by his foster father” An Arkansas Children’s Hospital review states “physical abuse is suspected.” And Dr. Jerry Jones, a recognized child abuse expert, put it this way: “I very much suspect that this child was the victim of abuse” in part because Dale was “without a history of accidental trauma that is consistent with those injuries.” David Gibbons is the prosecutor, and he did send a letter to the Russellville Police Dept that states in part “I have decided to decline prosecution.” “There may have been abuse. But there is no evidence that I can say that I can look a jury in the eye and say the abuse resulted in the injury that caused this boy’s death and that …

I would like to sue my ex-friend in small claims court for disposing of my property that I had stored in her basement. She never notified me prior to disposing of the property. I live in Arkansas. Are there any attorneys that could advise as to whether I have a right to sue her? Thanks.
The value is well over $1,000. Some of the items I can not place a value on as they are sentimental. Anyone know of the law in AR? I feel sure that I could win in small claims court as I have witnesses that I could subpoena to testify that the items were left there, but I don’t know if AR law says she has the right to dispose of the items because they were left on her property. Thanks.
