Hi guys,
I’m feeling so sad today. I planned to donate my blood today, and i have donated my blood before with redcross or any other blood drive. I came to redcross in Russellville, AR today. There’s a question asking you whether you go outside US within 3 years or not. I said yes, because i went to some countries such as Bahamas, Singapore, Malaysia, and i said i used to live in Indonesia. And in fact, Indonesia is one of several countries that has Malaria risk. So, they said i’m not eligible to donate my blood until July 2010, eventhough i donated my blood before, they said it was a mistake.
Isn’t is so sad and painful if we’re are willing to help people but we’re not allowed.
I trully understand that it’s to protect anyone who will receive my blood.
It’s not a question.. but you guys can share your experience with me
