What about this bowl game/playoff proposition?

With all the bowl games going on and the national championship less than a week away comes all the chatter about why there isn’t a playoff in college football. Now as a college football fan and a student at a Division 1A University, I find all the reasons why there isn’t a playoff hysterical. A sixteen team playoff would be fair to all the conferences and the independents, and would generate millions, maybe even billions in revenue at a time when not only athletic departments, but entire universities are hitting hard financial times. The biggest argument against the playoff is that it would destroy the bowl games. Now let me make this clear, I hate the bowl games even the BS, I mean BCS ones, they are nothing but glorified exhibitions that mean absolutely nothing in terms of crowning a champion. But in order to make all those rich sponsors and bowl organizers happy, here is my proposition. In order to make room for a playoff and keep the bowl games, I would have the bowl games be played in the first week of the following season. Think about it for a second, this past season we had the Boise St.-Virginia Tech game to kick things off, which was fantastic. But imagine having Wisconsin-TCU, Arkansas-Ohio St., and Oregon-Auburn at the beginning of the season, it would be amazing in my opinion. It would keep the bowl games running and make room for what every college football fan who truly values competition wants: a playoff. This is just a thought, please share your responses.
A playoff would consist of the 11 conference champions and five at-large teams in order to be fair to the independents (Notre Dame, Army, Navy, and soon-to-be BYU). Yes, some teams would get left out that may be deserving but if the team wins their conference they are in. It is so simple win and in, lose and you play the bubble game. Just like in basketball, where every team has eventually gotten over the fact that their bubble got burst by the next season. A playoff would allow every single D-1A team a shot at a championship, something the BCS does not do. As far as where the games would be played, the first round should be on the higher seed’s campus. The following rounds and championship could be played at some of the bowl sites (i.e. Rose Bowl, Louisiana Superdome, Sun Life Stadium, Cotton Bowl, etc.) This would allow games to still be played on New Year’s Day in traditional places.

In order to receive financial aid, does my father have to file a federal tax report?

My dad no longer works because he’s going to be retired in a few years. All he really does is manage a few cattle. His CPA told him it wasn’t worth filing a tax return this year, but I was wondering if that was going to hurt my chances of getting financial aid? I already did FAFSA and I just got back a form from the college I’m going to attend, Arkansas Tech University, to verify stuff. and one of my friends told me if he hadn’t filed than I wasn’t going to get any money back….. but I don’t know if they know what they’re talking about.

Can you still get into Heaven and not believe in God?

I am 18 years old and an atheist. I have never broken any of the commandments and am the most moral person out of all my religious friends. The Ten Commandments tell me not to worship other Gods, which I don’t, but don’t actually require me to worship God. I do not believe God. But are you actually REQUIRED to in order to get into Heaven? (I’m not worried, just curious). Isn’t it better for me to do things not for selfish reasons (so I don’t go to Hell) but to help others because I believe I should as a human being? Why do religious people say that is insufficient, when religious people steal, kill, or ar bad people, but as long as they ask for forgiveness, everything is fine? Make sure you which religion you are answering, all religions and views are welcome to answer. Thanks!!!
I am only asking as like a theoretical worst-case scenario. I do not believe in credibility of commandments or religion or God, I’m just thinking about what one person could say to God if it was true. I would say I never broken commandments and was way more moral than most religious people. Is that enough? Furthermore, I have never and will never stop looking, I want it to be true, it is appealing and would be nice, but this is why I think it has been made up, because of how nice it is to think you can live forever, and to think it is nice that a dead relative is watching over you etc. But there is still time for me. Those of you who do believe and will not change, don’t worry about me. I do not think any of it is true at all.
