Where does this river begin ?

Can anyone tell me where this river named (Spring River) that runs from Missouri down through Mammoth, AR. and Hardy, AR. begins at. I know it’s somewhere in Missouri but I don’t know where.

Did there use to be a town under part of Lake Quachita around Hot Springs, AR?

I was told that when they broke up all the lakes in the area and dammed up the river and they made people move out so they could flood the areas where towns were for the water. I know this was very common back in the 1800′s but I was wondering if it was actually true.

I think it was actual houses and it was in the 1800′s when it was flooded. I don’t think there were any resorts there at that time. Just homes and shops.

It is suppose to be several hundred feet under water

It was also Lake Quachita area….or lake Degray..something like that in that area
