  1. Thank you! I have been trying to make people see that all human beings have basically the same wants and needs, desires and lives. We all want safe and happy atmospheres in which to raise our families and to have some of the riches of this wonderful world for our own. We are all more alike than we are different.

You have given us some of the most beautiful things to see and consider, and this has been my experience with almost everyone I have met from the Middle East!

I am not a young person; I am 60 years old, but I am so happy that you have a good life in Iran. I agree that young people have the ability to change the world. PEACE to you, your country, and to all of its occupants–Jews, Christians and Muslims!!!!

  2. Sorry, I quit after the “you’ll spend 10 minutes…” comment. Wrong forum for your diatribe troll.

  3. Sorry I don’t have the time to discuss every point meantioned in your article. It was well written, I don’t think the American people have anything against the Iranian people. The people aren’t the problem but the leaders are. Leaders need to be very careful and be responsible with their public speech to be sure that misinterpretations are not made.

There are legal and cultural differences in our countries. For example, in the US both sexes are allowed to go to sporting events. We will not prevent one sex from going just because the other sex won’t maintain self-control. We think it is more fair to punish the offender than to withhold freedom from the woman.

It is sad that so many people have died in wars in the past century. The holocaust happened during WWII but was separate from the war. The majority of the people who have died in wars were actually allowed to fight. This also includes the people in Iraq. When Hitler executed 6 million Jews they were not allowed to fight. They were starved, tortured, and forced to live in horrendous conditions while also naked. They didn’t die as a result of fighting in a war. They were MURDERED on a very large scale.

When Iranians carry signs that read “Death to America” I understand that you mean the government. But you need to understand that America’s government is a government of the people, for the people, and by the people. This means that we govern ourselfves. We are not ruled over by a man. Men are too corrupt and not worthy of ruling over other people. But men are capable of conceiving great ideas. That is why we have the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, Our nation is governed by principles of law some of which cannot be changed. If the legislative branch in our country tries to make a law that is unconstituional then it is changed so that it is in alignment with the Constitution. In the US we have been very successful with this form of goverment, We are ruled by principles of law that are written on paper. So you could say that our leader is actually the words on that paper.

I’m sure that the Iranian people are very friendly. It’s the leadership we have a problem with. There is a huge difference between the people who die during battle and the ones who die while being degraded to below the level of a dog.
